AirDroid is a fast, free app that lets you wirelessly manage & control your Android device from a web browser Over-The-Air. It can also send messages, browse / download / upload files, preview photos, import or export ringtones, music and some other stuff.
The main reason i'm using this app is to transfer file from my phone to my laptop and vice versa. Since bluetooth file transfer under Ubuntu 10.11 is broken this is the next best thing.
