Since i'm using Ubuntu/Linux my SVN client is RapidSVN. In order to set the proper mime-type you have to edit subversion's config file using whatever text editor you like mine is gEdit. You can find the config file by going to your home and look for your .subversion folder. Using gEdit paste the following text at the very end of the file and save the file. Hopefully everything will work out fine.
