Working on 3 Online Stores and Me Having Conjunctivitis

I'm on medical leave for the past 10 days due to conjunctivitis which i incidently gave to my brother and mom. Good job ahole! Since I'm stuck at home i got to work on 3 online store. Two for the company i 

work for and 1 for my brother. I started using OpenCart for one of the online store and I must say i really really like it a lot. Everything is easy with Opencart from uploading products, uploading images, inventory, APIs, everything is easy.

The 2nd online store is quite the opposite of Opencart i'm building it from scratch doin it the old school way with Notepad++ and Adobe DreamWeaver. It freakin tiring!

The third one i'm using blogger's blog again as a platform for my online store. I just love doing this is like having a free hosting hehehe. With Bloggers new features using it as an online store is a whole lot easier than encoding it by hand. Its not perfect but hey its free.

Finally Done with Crafty Cart for Blogger

March last year i was playing around with Crafty Cart – a free theme for WordPress e-Commerce store created by Billion Studio especially for King Cart.

I Started porting it to blogger around summer last year but wasn't able to finish it due to tons of work in the office. Also i later found out the somebody already ported it to blogger. You can checkout Beta Templates blogger version of Crafty Cart here.

Couple of weeks ago experimented with Dot.Tk free DNS service. Using Dot.Tk's free DNS i was able to use Blogger's custom domain and create an online store. You can checkout my experiment by going to www.FlowersPhilippines.tk  and this inspired me to finish Crafty Cart. Unlike Beta Templates version mine is a fully functioning online store powered by Blogger.com. Currently the checkout process is handle by Paypal but i will try to integrate Payvments shopping cart in the coming weeks to handle both Paypal and Google Checkout. I feel like keeping this one for myself hehehe or maybe not! :)

My next project is wpStore. Hopefully it won't take me another year to finish this.

Brand Spanking New 1ijack

For those who frequent this blog ( yes the 3 of you) i just did a makeover for this blog. I have to replace my old template because i tried to spruce it up a bit but i was a total failure. The look that i wanted didn't match "simpla" simple design so i ended changing the whole look. I didn't create this template all because i don't have enough braincell to start from scratch so i got one from Blaganol and found this gem of a template. Its called Woothemes News Magazine Theme for Blogger designed by Woothemes and converted into blogger by Deineshd. Its a very clean design and its a news magazine style template which are popular these days. There are still some element that are missing here and there but i will be adding them in the next couple of days. Other than that everything stays the same. :)

Personas for Firefox

Here ia a nifty extension for Firefox. Personas for Firefox is a extension that adds lightweight theming to your browser. I like this theming extension because as stated before its lightweight, it's easy to change from one theme to another without restarting Firefox and themes are readily accesible via a Fox mask icon on the status bar.

Simpla 3 Column Updated

Simpla3c now works with the new blogger. Download the XML file here. Its totally bare so its up to you to add widgets and stuff. Have fun! :)

Templates

These templatess are originally made for Wordpress and have been ported to work with blogger.com. To install a template, simply unzip the file and open the text file using kate, kwrite or notepad then copy the code. Go to Blogger control panel select the template tab and paste the code into the template area, save changes then republish.

Each template is licensed according to their original creators respective licenses so that basically means if a template such as Beccary's WP Dusk theme is licensed as GPL then the ported version is GPL as well. Get it? Got it!

Andreas06 Template by Request

Say hello to my new port Andreas06! Andreas06 is Andreas Viklund's winning entry for the OSWD.org "fall" competition. This template was requested by Hafiz and i hope he likes this. This template uses Asynchronous Comment Form by Singpolyma. You don't need to upload the images because were using photos.blogger.com to store the images and i have included the links in the text file but i'm still including it in the zip file just incase you want to store the images somewhere else. FYI if you didn't notice you can now "Turn Off" the navbar via the template section.. SWEET!

Dusk Template

Its been a while since I last posted here. I've been busy with work and recently i have been hired by a school to take care of their computers. The pay is good and i stil have my old job so more moolah for me hehehe. Those people who reads this blogs knows that i'm a linux, free and opensource type of guy and since working for a school with windows xp with every beige boxes it just made me happy that i'm using linux and not windows. Why do i say that? Well on my first day at the school i got bombarded with so much worms and virus that i just gave up trying to clean the pc via an antivirus program and just reformated the pcs and installed xp. In one computer alone there is a total of 4600++ files infected by Brontok worm, That's FOUR THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED PLUS on one pc alone, can you believe that! Well enough of my story back to what the above title says.

For the whole time i was gone i was just only able to make one template and this is it. Presenting Beccary's Dusk Template! It is a two column dark blue and grey theme. Enjoy!

Simpla 3 Column

This blog is running on Simpla3c which is basically a simpla theme that is using three column instead of two which the original has. I was suppose to upload this before but i didn't because i was kinda waiting for something to happen... which i have to cut the story here because i don't want to bore you with the details as to why i didn't uploaded the template. A couple of people has been asking for this template for quite some time now and i couldn't wait anymore for that "something to happen" so here it is Simpla3c.

WordPress Theme for Blogger

A couple of months ago I registered for a free blog account at Wordpress.com and I would say that WordPress is nice it has functionalities that Blogger.com really needs one of which is the categories and the ability to highlight recent post and a whole lot more. I really like the themes but what I don't like about it is that I can't mess with the theme/template, maybe there is a way but currently I don't know how to. So what I have been doin for the past couple of days is porting some WordPress themes to work with Blogger.com. Obviously we won't get the functionality that is offered by the WordPress engine but we can get is the look and feel of it.

Here is my first port...
